Collette Vacations has announced the launch of a new Europe tour featuring Floriade 2012, a major world horticultural expo that only occurs every 10 years. Collette’s “Netherlands, Belgium, and Paris” is an 11-day journey that includes three overnight stays in Amsterdam, three nights in Brussels and three nights in Paris.
The highlight is the once-a-decade Floriade exhibition which is available on departure dates from April through October 2012. The event takes place in a 165-acre park in the city of Venlo, outside of Amsterdam, and near the Dutch and German border. On some Floriade departure dates a visit to Keukenhof Gardens is also included.
Also included on the “Netherlands, Belgium and Paris” tour are a candlelight canal cruise in Amsterdam and a walk through the red light district; a locally guided tour through Brussels; a cruise through Paris on the Seine River; a local resident-guided walk through ancient Bruges, famous for its breweries, canals, chocolate and medieval architecture; and a visit to Claude Monet’s house in Giverny.
