12,000 visitors for Floriade & Cableway Center

The magic number of 12,000 visitors for the Floriade Cableway and the Preview Center will be achieved. Since the opening of the largest cable car in the Netherlands on April 16 last initial interest in Floriade 2012 has been confirmed.

Residents of North Limburg know the way to the Floriade site, but the number of German visitors has far exceeded expectations. The Floriade organization had expected it to actually take several weeks to reach 12,000 visitors, but has already exceeded this goal.

According to Paul Beck, General Manager, Floriade 2012 is 'alive and well' thanks to the cable car. "We are now at a stage where the Floriade, with another 300 days until the opening on April 5, 2012, enjoys a lot of interest at home and abroad. Along with the success of the sale of all 400,000 tickets to tour operators, the cable car made sure that a lot of positive publicity is achieved. An unprecedented success ".

The Floriade cable car is open until early October 2011. With a length of 1.1, km and a height of 32 meters it is a unique attraction in Limburg.
